Yes I have experienced the feeling of betrayal, its not something I experience often this feeling. In fact when I think of it I can't remember the last time. But today was the day. And its on a a publicly archived forum for all to see just as the moderator intended. The poison group imploded, this group I knew nothing about, this was the moderators revenge.
And after all this time I carried on in uninformed bliss chatting happily via blogs and otherwise with those involved. Two faced is an apt term for that poisoned group.
And yet I am the one who feels STUPID for being so trusting.
At my age you think you know about most things, I guess this is a valuable lesson learned. And moderator your work is done, I hope you all sleep well at night. Yup it all falls into place now, I finally get it, slow and trusting thats me!
You know, if I found out my children were doing such a thing over the internet, they would have been reprimanded severely and taught how to treat people in the correct manner. I wonder if these lessons are being passed onto their own children.
Maybe they might just learn a lesson too, a bit of a wake up call perhaps.......

Goodness ~ That's sad for sure! ~ I couldn't quite work out if you are direcetly involved, or is this just an example of how hurtful the internet can be and how you are feeling as a result?
Yes we certainly try and teach our kids not to treat others like this, I'm noticing more and more it's happening over and over again and unfortunately it is part of life now, so should we be teaching our kids and telling ourselves not to let these people upset us ~ Get on with our own lives knowing we're good people.... let those hurtful spiteful ones be eaten away with bitter thoughts..???

Alicia, this is a very sad, sad story but unfortunately too familiar these days. I've heard of many similar cases and while we all love the internet, I think it has served to make bitching easier and instant for those nasty types.
My advice... learn from it, move on and forget. These women are not worthy of your time and effort. Thankfully, not all women are like this. Some of us ARE the real deal so don't let this horrid event alter your perspective.

Oh no. That is bloody awful. Do these ladies know you know? Can they be confronted? Or are they in hiding now. I really hope they learnt something BIG!

Alicia... I am sorry to hear about this.... I too feel that I have been a victim of this same thing however I have no way to prove it right now... just things that have happened that have put that thought in my mind many times...
Just remember this... for every one of those ladies who did this ... you have many friends who adore you
